Play therapy for children in Salt Lake City

They can’t say it. But they can show you.

Children show you in the way they play, sleep, and hold on at the door.

What you might be seeing

  • struggling to manage big feelings
  • anxiety causing them to miss out
  • struggling to adapt to a new environment
Is this actually doing anything?

Yes. Play therapy is a clinical approach with real evidence behind it. I’ll tell you what I’m seeing, what it means, and what we’re working toward.

How we work

Play is not a warm-up for the real therapy. Play is the therapy.

Before they have the words, children use toys, sand, drawing, and stories to make sense of hard things at a pace they can manage.

The goal isn’t a quieter child. It’s a child who has somewhere to put it.

I work with you too. You’ll get updates on what we’re working toward and what helps at home, while the playroom stays theirs.

The first few sessions are for them to feel safe. Nothing is forced. Play therapy works best in person at Trolley Corner, and I’ll say so honestly rather than sell you a screen.

A first conversation

Fifteen minutes on the phone. You ask whatever you need to. Sessions are 53 minutes and $150, and I’m glad to talk through fees and insurance before anything is booked.
